Wine doesn‘t just play a supporting role at ‘Elua. The chefs and ‘Elua partner Keith Kiuchi are very careful to find superlative pairings for the appetizers and entrees. They will often offer two wine matches - in different price ranges.

But matching isn‘t the only magic.

• Both the chefs are deeply knowledgeable about wine. Chef Donato imports wine from boutique Italian wineries through his distribution company. Chef Philippe‘s previous restaurant was the only Oahu restaurant to be honored with the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence.

• ‘Elua‘s wait staff is carefully trained. They can guide you through the wine pairings and the wine list.

• Boutique wineries are our specialty. ‘Elua features wines from many smaller wineries, both in the United States and Italy, that are not well known. We buy wine because it tastes good, not because it‘s heavily marketed. Ask our staff for our latest ‘find‘.
